Dbar Dragon, Dbar Streamline install

Well I've noticed that a lot of traffic that has lead to my site has been questions about installing dbar themes. Honestly probably the best tool for install information can be found over at the Xsellize Thread. It has all the info you would EVER need. But there a few specific things I can share about the mods I've done.
I'll do the best I can. :)

A few things you wil likely need for just about any Dbar theme:

-iBlank or Iconoclasm: Personally I use Iconoclasm because the possibilities are endless when it comes to creating layouts.

-Five Icon dock or Infiniboard: program to customize how many icons you can put in the dock
-Categories or Stacks: originally DBAR was designed to be a one page theme. So being able to put apps in folders or stack them up would be ideal. I personally use categoriesSB

-Status notifier: Basically this a program thats used to put alerts in your status bar (i.e. SMS, Mail, Calls). Generally most Dbar themes look pretty funny with badges. So you use Status notifier instead (this is why when you install certain mods, badges don't appear. The info.plist is edited so the badges are transparent along with the badge icon itself).

Okay so let's start with a blank canvas:
let's take Dbar Streamline for example:

You would arrange your icons first (I used Iconoclasm and the 5x5 setup to acheive this. Along with the five icon dock)
So once you download the theme and place it in your themes folder you want to check off "No docked icon labels", "no undocked icons labels" and "Dbar Streamline" and hang them all high in winterboard.
Now one of the first things you want to do is set your weather up in the theme. you need to follow this path in the theme:
Widgets>Configs>Weather-Config.js
It should look like this:

Now you just have to enter in your "City, State" on the line that says "var Locale"
Save the file, SSH it back onto your phone and then respring. Now your weather info should show up.
Now depending upon the font you use you may have some alignment issues. The font I use is called "Neutraface" and it is a paid font. Of course you can use any font you want though. Now for city and temperature aligment you need to follow this path:

Widgets>weather>Stylesheets
open the bottom(white).css file with notepad

go to this section:

#temp{ /* Weather Temperature Position */
position: absolute; top:349px; right: 0px; down: 0px; left: 77px; width: 320px; height: 461px;
font-family: Helvetica;
text-transform: uppercase;
font-variant: small-caps;
font-size: 23px;
font-weight: bold;
color: #FFFFFF;
text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #000000;

edit the number in bold
#city{ /* Weather City Position */
position: absolute; top: 415px; right: 0px; down: 0px; left: 12px; width: 320px; height: 461px;
font-family: Helvetica;
font-weight: bold;
text-align: left;
font-variant: normal;
color: #FFFFFF;
text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #000;
font-size: 18px;
text-transform: capitalize;
Edit the number in bold
to fix the time placement folllow open the widget.html file with notepad

find this section:

top: 344px; left: -40px; width: 150px; height: 461px;">

Edit the number in bold
You can apply the same principles to the Dbar Dragon (Speed) theme

Some users have stated having alignment issues (most likely due to the font they are using). So you can use the above tips to fix issues you are having. (moving from top to bottom and left to right). Hope these little tips can be of some help!

  1. I dont understand how to get the extra side button on the right? Is that a different application or something in the theme?

  2. Its the "page0" wallpaper included in the file. Its not a separate app or anything. Its just there for visual effect :)

  3. Does this theme(dbar dragon) correspond to ios4.1?
    It doesn't adjust now though var locale = of weather-config.js has been changed.
    In my residence, the region in which it wants to display it in Japan is JAXX0009(yahooWeather).
    My best regards.

  4. No. Right now none of the themes here have been changed to work with IOS4. I really haven't had time to check all the files to make sure they work. But when I get to it I will be sure to post here with new information. :)
